Holly Hunter was an American actress who became famous due to her roles in films Broadcast News The Firm The Piano The Incredibles. Her work has been recognized with numerous awards, like an Oscar for her role in the film Piano. Her career began as an actor on Broadway as well as Off Broadway. Acting has always been her passion. In fifth grade, she was cast as Helen Keller in an original show. After suffering from the Mumps, she was deaf in one of the sides of her ears. This did not stop her ambition to be an actress. While in college, she studied drama, she moved into New York City with her plans with her sights set. Hunter was introduced to Beth Henley by chance in an lift. They wrote together Broadway Crimes of the Heart. It was Hunter's acting debut.
